Has Windows RT already failed?

Windows is an extremely powerful brand, almost as known as Coca Cola. But when Coca Cola created a drink with orange taste they called Fanta. Why didn't they call it Coca Cola Orange? The answer is simple, because they are different drinks.

A few weeks ago a colleague of mine asked me: should I buy a laptop or an iPad? Knowing what he does with his PC my answer was simple: if it has to be one or the other, buy a laptop. If you really want a tablet, the Microsoft Surface running Windows RT will help you out more than an iPad for the stuff you do.

iPhone and Android vs Mobile carriers

I was watching the TV ads of some mobile carriers and I've realised about a common factor:

  • We are the cheapest
  • We have the coolest phones

So I've decided to go to a couple of mobile carriers shops in the area where I live to ask them how good is the signal in my house. 18 popular searches to solve software problems

With whom was I having my conversation?

Social CRM, much more than Social Media

Here there is an example of Social CRM without using Twitter, Facebook or any social network. Would you think that an HRMS policy in you company could improve your Social CRM processes?

CRM is all about 1-to-1 communications. It is about You the customer, talking to Me the vendor and vice versa.

Social CRM starts always with "We". We belong to a community of companies and customers of one particular product or service, and we all need more efficient and inexpensive processes. Please do not take this remark politically. This is not socialism, this is a different way to do business and serve the customers.

Marketing against Privacy

Back in 1994 I was team lead in the IT department in a Turfway Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina. One day the marketing people came with what we thought it was a good idea. They wanted to know the customers better. In other words, they wanted to know a way to get more money from them.

The idea was simple. They were going to send some nice ladies with surveys to ask all kind of questions to the people. The people would take the survey, put it in an envelope together with the betting tickets, and they would have a possibility to win a brand new car.

So far, so good. But the day of the race arrived and something happened. Imagine this conversation between one of the nice ladies and one of the customers:
